Sean McKenna is a second year student at the University of Florida and is currently studying Telecommunications. He is from Tampa, Florida but a native of New York. He has a passion for sports and is looking for oppurtunities in the industry.

 

Sean's freshman year he interned at Florida Sports Talk FM, an NBC affiliate, where he interivewed local High School coaches and wrote preview pieces for upcoming game. Articles were published to Florida Sports Talk website weekly.

 

Sophomore year Sean got invovled with ESPN 850 WRUF, WUFT News (NPR affiliate), and WUFT TV (PBS affiliate). For ESPN 850 Sean went on live air to give two-miunte sports updates that he wrote himself and produced web content to be published online. For WUFT News Sean wrote stories to be aired on hourly newscast and did feature projects on stories in Alachua and surroudning counties. For WUFT TV Sean wrote minute sports broadcast that aired on TV and edited his own videos using Adobe Premier and Final Cut Pro. 

 

Sean was also the Beat Reporter for the 2015 university of Florida Baseball team. Responsibilites included going to games where he would live tweet the game; after games were over he attended press conferences with coaches and players to get sound for stories that were published on the ESPN 850 Website.
